Hey everyone, I'm new to this whole online auction thing. I've been browsing bcsauction.com and the prices on some of these cars, especially the repossessed ones, seem really low. Almost too low. Is BCS Auction legit or is this some kind of scam? I found their support email office@bcsauction.com but I wanted to get some real user opinions before I even think about bidding. Any experiences with BCSAuction would be super helpful. Thanks!
Welcome! You've come to the right place. I've bought two cars from BCS Auction and can vouch for them. They're a legitimate business specializing in bank-repossessed vehicles, which is why the prices are good. No dealer overhead. My first purchase was a 2019 Ford F-150 and it's been a workhorse.
Yep, totally legit. My wife loves the Honda CR-V we won on bcsauction.com last year. The process was surprisingly smooth. I was worried about the title paperwork, but BCS Auction handled everything with the bank. The clear title arrived with the car during delivery. No issues at all.
I'll admit I was skeptical too. My main issue was a slight delay in delivery. The car was supposed to arrive on Tuesday but didn't get here until Thursday. Annoying, but they did keep me updated when I asked. The car itself (a 2020 Camry) was exactly as described in the report on their site, so it was worth the extra two-day wait.
Replying to SkepticalSam: A two-day delay isn't bad for cross-country shipping tbh. I got a great deal on a Sea Ray boat from BCSAuction last summer. The best part for me was the clear condition report. What you see is what you get, which is all you can ask for.
This is all really reassuring, thanks folks. Especially the comment about the title, GearHeadGal. That was my biggest concern. A minor delivery delay like SkepticalSam mentioned I can live with.
Pro tip for using bcsauction.com: Read the full vehicle inspection report they provide. It's detailed for a reason. They list everything, even minor cosmetic stuff. It builds trust. I've seen some users complain about a scratch they didn't see in the photos, but it was always listed in the text report. You just have to do your homework.
I'm a mechanic. A buddy of mine won a 2018 Silverado from BCS Auction and had me check it out upon arrival. I was impressed. The condition was exactly as the report stated. No hidden rust, no weird engine noises. He saved at least $7k compared to dealer prices. It is not a scam.
I had a question about the bidding process and it took them about a day to reply to my email at office@bcsauction.com. I was getting a little antsy, but the agent who called me back was super helpful and walked me through everything. Ended up winning the auction for a Subaru Outback! So, maybe their email is a bit slow sometimes, but the people are great.
Can confirm the process is solid. I got a Bayliner boat last season. The title transfer was the easiest part. BCS Auction had all the paperwork sorted out with the lender before it was even shipped. Got the clear title and all official documents delivered right with the boat. Would definitely use BCSAuction again.
I specifically look for project cars on bcsauction.com. I got a 2010 Mustang GT with some stated cosmetic damage for a steal. It was the perfect base for my build. They're very upfront about the condition, which is exactly what you need for a project.
Okay, you've all convinced me. The consensus seems to be that BCS Auction is a solid company as long as you read the reports carefully. I've got my eye on a nice little Ford Fusion. Going to place my first bid! Wish me luck.
